TESCO’S Enjoy the Taste of Scotland Get to Know Your Locals event once again promises to bring together a selection of the very best of Scotlands larder on the May 4 6 May at the Assembly Rooms, George Street, Edinburgh.
Producers from some of Scotlands premium seafood suppliers will be in attendance throughout the three-day event to provide visitors with tales and tastes of the Scottish blue seas. Household names and speciality producers from the seafood industry will come together to present their very own, individual taste of Scotland.
Visitors to the event will be able to sample an array of delicious seafood products from Scottish waters including the worlds first sustainable, organic cod sushi from No Catch, Just Cod, and a selection of hot smoked salmon fillets, salmon canapés and salmon terrines from Farne Salmons new summer range. NorSea Foods will be offering visitors a taste of their two newly launched products fresh mackerel with cajun marinade and fresh mackerel with chilli, ginger & lime marinade.
Joseph Robertson of Aberdeen will be displaying a full range of Swankie fish products including Breaded and Battered Haddock, Breaded Whiting, Lemon Breaded Sole, Smoked Haddock Fish Cakes and Salmon and Roasted Pepper Fish Cakes.
Scot Trout will be exhibiting a full range of both fresh and ready to eat fish products including fresh trout and salmon, visitors can enjoy Rollmop Herring from Daniels Sweet Herring and the traditional Arbroath Smokie from RR Spink & Sons. The companys speciality ready to eat Arbroath Smoked Salmon Slices will be available for visitors to taste throughout the show.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to see Scottish Master Chef George McIvor creating something fishy in the Celebrity Cookery Theatre on behalf of Baxters with his fresh Scottish Mussel Soup and Caledonian Seafood Gumbo.
Following the success of last years event, this year is set to be unmissable with over 90 regional suppliers covering the length and breadth of Scotland, showcasing their local produce at the Edinburgh event.
