ONE of the UK’s leading fish and chip shop suppliers, T Quality, is adding MSC certified fish to its menu choices.

The supplier is one of the industry’s largest, with over 5,000 clients, and the move opens up the possibility a large portion of the UK’s fish and chip shops serving certified fish. T Quality has been supplying the UK fish and chip industry for over 80 years. Originally based in Swindon it now has depots all over England and southern Wales.David Ross, T Quality Managing Director, explains: “The important aspect for us as a business is that the MSC certification formally demonstrates this higher commitment to sustainability. Our customers are demanding a product with the MSC brand to pass on to their customers seeking the trust mark of a sustainably sourced product.”The new MSC certified cod and haddock lines come from fisheries in the Norwegian North East Arctic and Barents seas, fisheries that T Quality has sourced from for 40 years.
