PPS, a specialist company that provides a comprehensive range of services for users of Returnable Transit Equipment (RTE), has purchased the equipment pool assets along with the customer database from the Administrators of Cool Blue Box.

Following the recent demise of Cool Blue Box, a supplier of innovative food-grade polypropylene storage and transport boxes to the fishing industry, PPS has focused its efforts and worked closely with the Administrators to ensure a seamless business transition.

Cool Blue, Sales Executive – Kate Williamson has joined the PPS East team in her home town of Grimsby and will continue to service and supply existing Cool Blue customers. In discussion, she reported that she is committed to encouraging more companies to become environmentally aware of the benefits of adopting reusable packaging in the fish and food processing sectors and looks forward to accepting the new challenge with PPS.

Director of PPS David Peggie commented, “After the successful buy-out of the Grimsby based TFA Box Company in February last year and their relocation into new premises as PPS East, the purchase of the assets of Cool Blue Box is a further complimentary opportunity to develop the company. We have taken great care to acquire adequate stocks of Cool Blue boxes to ensure continuity and PPS East is totally geared to maintaining ITS high standards of service.

We are committed to our customers’ success and to helping them achieve their goals with an even wider selection of plastic pallets and fish boxes, plus collection and hygienic washing services.

Our responsibility is not taken lightly–our customers’ success is vital to our success.”
