Lighthouse Caledonia is engaged in farming Atlantic salmon at all stages from smolt production through harvesting, processing, smoking packing and sale. Our hatcheries and farms are located throughout Scotland with processing plants in Stornoway and Cairndow in Argyll.
Our Technical division is currently recruiting an Aquaculture Systems Auditor to carry out the auditing and compliance analysis of the Quality, Environmental, Hygiene and Bio-security standards in all company locations within the Western Isles. Travel to Company freshwater, marine and processing facilities will be a necessary part of this position. Good communication skills will be essential as liaising with external stakeholders such as customers and industry regulatory bodies will be required. Preference will be given to applicants holding a food science based qualification to HND or degree level. Ideally, applicants will also have previous experience in a food production, aquaculture or laboratory/processing environment and an appreciation that working in a fresh product industry will require a reasonably flexible approach occasionally involving overtime and weekend work.
