SHETLAND Smokehouse has been selected to feature its lightly smoked Shetland salmon marinated in dry gin delicacy as part of a showcase of Scottish food and drink being held at the British Embassy in Paris on Thursday June 17th.

The showcase is part of a Best of British event which has been organised by Food from Britain to commemorate The Queen’s birthday and to celebrate the centenary of the signing of the Entente Cordiale.

The prestige occasion will be attended by around 500 invited guests, including senior business people and government officials.

They will feast on an array of buffet dishes prepared – using the finest Scottish raw ingredients – by members of the Scottish Culinary Olympics team.

Commenting, sales manager of Shetland Smokehouse, Norma Tulloch, said: “This is a tremendous accolade for us and a unique opportunity to promote the outstanding quality of our seafood product to a discerning audience.

“Shetland Smokehouse is also delighted to use the event to raise the wider profile of Shetland in the international marketplace.”
