Billund RAS consultancy rebrands as Globaq Solutions

Billund Aquatech was launched last autumn by CEO Christian Sørensen, after the aquaculture business he had run for nearly 40 years – Billund Aquaculture – was forced to declare bankruptcy.

Globaq Solutions, as the company now styles itself, specialises in the design, construction, commissioning, and servicing for recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). The company is based in Denmark.

As CEO, Christian Sørensen is a prominent figure in the aquaculture industry his expertise encompasses engineering innovation, practical project implementation, and a deep understanding of the ecological and economic aspects of aquaculture.

Kristoffer Lund, Chief Operating Officer  brings experience from senior management positions in engineering companies. He was the CEO at Billund Aquaculture.

Lund’s expertise includes driving engineering innovation, fostering sustainable practices, and leading projects with efficiency and effectiveness. His focus on advanced technology solutions and optimization of process systems has significantly contributed to reducing environmental impact by developing energy and greenhouse gasses reducing methods.

Project Manager Martin Larsen brings over a decade of experience in the aquaculture industry, specializing in project management and implementation as a former Project and Service Manager at Billund Aquaculture.

Billund Aquaculture ran into difficulties following the Covid-19 pandemic and then the global disruption caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Pure Salmon acquired some of the company’s assets while AKVA took on a major ongoing post-smolt project for Ardal Aqua in Norway.
