Seagriculture World 2026, the international seaweed conference and trade show due to take place in Bangkok next month, has been postponed as a result of the ongoing US-Iran conflict and its impact on world travel.

The organisers, DLG Benelux, hope to hold the event at a later date.
Seagriculture World was due to take place in Bangkok over 19-21 May. DLG Benelux said: “Given the current situation in the Middle East, along with restricted travel, increased costs, and a general decline in willingness to travel, we believe that postponing the conference is the most responsible course of action at this time. We remain fully committed to delivering a strong and valuable platform, and we look forward to bringing Seagriculture World back under the right conditions.”
The Seagriculture conferences have grown into one of the leading global platforms for the seaweed industry, attracting over 500 stakeholders from across the value chain every year. From farmers and processors to investors, researchers, brands, and policymakers, Seagriculture brings the global seaweed community together in one place.
Seagriculture EU is due to take place over 16-18 June in Gothenburg, Sweden.
