Saipem, a global leader in offshore engineering based in Italy, and Aqualoop, a Norwegian innovator in deep-sea aquaculture, have announced a strategic collaboration agreement.

Saipem will leverage its offshore expertise to support Aqualoop’s pioneering technology for open-sea fish farming. The collaboration targets the development and construction of submersible offshore cages capable of operating at depths of 20 metres or more and spanning 160 metres in diameter.
With Saipem’s Norwegian subsidiary, Moss Maritime, already established in the region’s marine engineering landscape, the companies say “…this partnership is uniquely positioned to drive innovation in deep-sea aquaculture”.
