With a 1,200-strong team, Austral operates four processing plants along the Peruvian coast (Coischo, Chancay, Pisco and Ilo) and a modern fleet of 19 fishing vessels.

Giudice said: “I am very proud to take on the role of President of the IFFO Board as of 1st January 2026. I look forward to contributing to IFFO’s vision of leading the responsible development of marine ingredients globally and bringing my expertise from Peru on innovation and sustainability.”

Egil Magne Haugstad is President of the current IFFO Board (2024-2025 term) and a board member for Europe. The head office of his company, Pelagia, is in Norway with factories concentrated on the North Atlantic.

Pelagia is the world’s largest producer of pelagic seafood and Norway’s leading manufacturer of high-quality omega-3 concentrates. Pelagia runs the biggest fleet of vessels collecting byproducts from the salmon industry.

Egil Magne Haugstad commented: "It is an honour to continue serving on the IFFO Board following two years as President in 2024 and 2025. IFFO’s role as a global meeting place for the marine ingredients industry continues to grow, and I am committed to supporting its efforts in fostering collaboration and efficiency."

IFFO also paid tribute to outgoing board members Felipe Zaldivar, Fernando Ribaudo, Dan James and Johann Peter Andersen, and welcomed to the board Cristian Larrain, Gustavo Delgado Aparicio, Hafthor Eiriksson and Bjorn Kwak for the 2026-27 term.
