Aurora Bekkevold, the key account manager at Grieg Seafood, is leaving for a new sales job at the aquaculture technology specialist ScaleAQ.

She is the second senior staff member to leave Grieg over the past few days. Last week it was announced that Erik Holvik, its Chief Commercial Officer, is moving to SalMar in a similar role.
At Grieg, Aurora Bekkevold was responsible for strategic customers, negotiations and development of sales strategies.
She has previous experience from Lerøy Seafood Group, where she worked with seafood sales in international markets. She also has experience from GreenPowerHub, where she combined seafood sales and digital solutions in international markets.
ScaleAQ said: “With a background in both the aquaculture industry and the software sector, Aurora brings a unique combination of industry knowledge and technology understanding.
“After over ten years in the coastal areas of Chile, she is also fluent in Chilean Spanish, in addition to Norwegian and English – a valuable asset to ScaleAQ’s international operations.”
Bekkevold holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Development and Innovation from Kristiania University of Applied Sciences, specialising in change management and sustainability.
Her bachelor’s thesis examined how the Norwegian aquaculture industry works with sustainable development through certifications such as ASC, MSC and GlobalG.AP.
She said: “ I look forward to contributing to ScaleAQ’s further growth and development. The combination of sustainability, technology and innovation is something I am truly passionate about.”
Bekkevold will take up the position shortly and will be based at ScaleAQ’s office in Bergen.
