We are recruiting for an Electrical/Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team within our Freshwater Recirculation Unit located in Girlsta, Shetland.

ABOUT THE JOB
Responsible for the full service, maintenance and repair of equipment, the Electrical Engineer will provide vital support to the Hatchery whilst ensuring health and safety compliance and safe systems of work are in place at all times.

Girlsta hatchery has scope to produce up to 4 million smolts annually. The hatchery is currently undergoing a £2 million upgrade, support and delivery of this upgrade will be a core responsibility.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with fault finding and diagnostics of electro-mechanical equipment.

We expect the successful applicant to be highly motivated with a positive ‘hands on’ attitude. They must also ensure that all tasks are completed in a professional manner adherent to strict health and safety requirements and practice good house keeping throughout all activities.
