Study seeks views on fish farming in Shetland
What part does fish farming play in Shetland’s society and environment, and what should its future look like?
Views from a range of stakeholders are being invited as part of a study (“Developing a social licence to operate in finfish aquaculture – a case study of Shetland”) being carried out by an MSc student at the University of Aberdeen and funded by the Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC).
Wendy Chadwick is looking for perspectives from the finfish sector, shellfish sector, residents, government agencies/representatives, tourist/visitors, marine leisure users, education, environmental groups, plus any other relevant stakeholders.
The short online survey can be accessed at https://app.qmethodsoftware.com/study/10359. All responses are completely anonymous and are returned to a pool for further analysis.
