Saucy Fish nets two more US retailers

THE  Saucy Fish Co is continuing  its successful drive in the United States by securing  two more  listings for its  popular Ready to Eat range of salmon fillets with complementary sauces.

And it is the single portions that American retailers are going for as they seek yet a wider distribution of the Saucy products.. This, says the company, is  in direct response to the rise of single person meal occasions and health conscious consumers wanting to customise their meals.

The retailers Mariano’s and Hannaford will both list a range of three Ready to Eat single portion products including: Smoked & Roasted Salmon with Sticky Maple Sauce, Sweet Chili Roasted, Salmon with Tomato & Chili Chutney and Steamed Salmon with Lime & Cilantro, all in 5.6oz servings.

From April, Ahold Delhaize owned Hannaford will list the trio of single portion fish and sauce products in 170 store across the North East region, including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and upstate New York. Roundy’s owned Mariano’s, who pride themselves on helping customers shop well, eat well and live well, will list the new products across all 40 high-end store in the Chicago area from march 27th .

 As part of an ongoing international push, last year  the Grimsby-based Saucy Fish Co. announced state-side listings with both Wholefoods and Publix.  (crrct) International and Business Development Manager, Paul Macis comments: “The Saucy Fish Co.’s range of pre-cooked Ready to Eat products have been sold in the US since 2015 and have proved very popular with consumers looking for a convenient fish product, for on the go consumption. Making these fish and sauce combinations available in single portions seemed like the next logical step.
