Grimsby plans big presence in Brussels

GRIMSBY will be providing a significant presence, along with the best fish, to a large global audience in Europe this week.
The Grimsby based Saucy Fish Co is hoping to attract more fans when it exhibits at the European Seafood show, now called the Seafood Expo Global, in Brussels, which opens tomorrow.
The Saucy Fish Co’s attendance at the event follows the brand’s recent successful showing at the North American Seafood Expo in Boston a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Seafood Grimsby and Humber will be represented on the English Seafood Pavilion, which is making its debut at the show.
The stand, which Seafish has helped to organise, is promoting English seafood as a separate entity for the first time.
Visitors to the Saucy Fish Co stand will see some of the latest additions to the range, including Squid with King Prawn and Chorizo in a Sherry and Herb Sauce, as well as popular favourites such as Salmon with Chilli Lime and Ginger, and Smoked Haddock with Vintage Cheddar.
Since launching in 2010, the Saucy Fish Co has gone from strength to strength, with listings in the UK, the United States and Australia.
The brand recently retained its coveted UK CoolBrand Award and unveiled a new website to provide a fresh online experience to showcase its 20-strong range of fish and sauce products for global consumers.
Sales and marketing director Amanda Webb said: ‘The Saucy Fish Co has a proven track record of attracting new consumers to the chilled fish category as people continue to enjoy the concept of fuss free fish dishes.
‘The list of retailers now stocking products continues to grow around the globe and this exhibition gives us more opportunities to showcase the fantastic range of products we offer to a larger audience.’
The Saucy Fish Co will be exhibiting at the Seafood Expo Global, Brussels, from April 21-23. 2015, at stand 6-943.
