Young seafood leader to star at forum

GRIMSBY based Seachill, along with its Saucy Fish brand, is to be the lead sponsor at the 13th annual North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF), taking place in Bergen, Norway, next week.
The summit, which runs from March 6-8, is the world’s largest seafood business conference, attended by around 900 seafood executives from 35 countries. Seachill is taking a ten-strong team to Bergen.
As part of a three-day programme, NASF hosts the Young Seafood Leaders’ Summit, in association with Bergen’s Chamber of Commerce.
The summit brings together the next generation of seafood leaders and kicking off this year’s event, Saucy Fish’s category analyst, Bacardi King, will be delivering the ‘Saucy story’, a presentation on the brand’s approach to marketing.
King will reveal how the Saucy Fish Co became the top global seafood brand, outlining its recent move into the freezer aisle with the ‘Frozen Just got Cooler’ campaign. This reached more than 55 million consumers and introduced a new generation of shoppers to frozen fish, claims the company.
Having joined Seachill straight from university, King has worked alongside Saucy’s brand manager, chefs and marketing agency to find new ways to help more people eat fish.
She said: ‘This is the first year I’ve attended NASF, and I’m honoured to have been offered the opportunity to talk about the Saucy Fish Co’s award winning brand and share, learn and network amongst my peers.
‘I’ve worked as part of the Saucy Fish team from the beginning, watching the brand grow from strength to strength.

The Saucy Fish Co will also be showcasing its award winning range of complementary fish and sauce products at the NASF delegate dinner.
