Tragic haul for New Zealand trawler

A TRAWLER crew working off the coast of Aukland, New Zealand, dragged up a light aircraft – with the body of the pilot still inside.
The horrific catch was discovered by the crew of the San Kawhai, which normally trawls for tarakihi, orange roughy and other small coastal fish, reports Independent.ie
The dead pilot of the home-assembled aerobatic plane is believed to be 52-year-old Daroish Kraidy, from Aukland, who lost radar contact shortly after taking off on 25 March this year.
Kraidy’s disappearance was thought to be deliberate, as he had apparently been struggling with depression for a number of years.
The wreckage was taken to a bay near Great Barrier Island, where it was handed over to the authorities.
