THE fishermen’s show, Skipper Expo Int. Bristol 2018, gets underway at the end of next week, providing a showcase for equipment and support services available to the fishing industry.
Sponsored by the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations (NFFO), this is the sixth show in the series aimed at the fishing industry in England and Wales.
A number of companies have opted for larger stands this year and there will also be an indoor boat display.
NFFO chief executive Barrie Deas said it was great to see the event now so well established in the fishing industry calendar.
‘There is a real need for a fishing expo of this type for England, Wales, and indeed further afield, which is why we are delighted to support it this year, especially since we are now entering a crucial period for UK fishing with Brexit looming,’ he said.
Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media said: ‘This is the fishing industry’s show and it is great to see that feedback from visitors to last year’s event has been met with such a positive response by exhibitors, so as to ensure there is an even greater range of equipment on display.’
Skipper Expo Int. Bristol 2018 will be held at the Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, on Thursday, September 27 and Friday, September 28. Free entry with complimentary parking and wifi on-site. Opening times: Thursday 10am to 5pm, Friday 10am to 3pm.
