A Norwegian aquaculture equipment company has secured an important deal with three overseas companies.

Laksesystemer has signed an agreement to deliver feeding technology to land-based fish farming facilities in South Korea, Iceland and Japan.
It said this marks a significant milestone for the company, which specialises in efficient feed transportation tailored to modern land-based and closed fish farming systems.
The company’s contract with Mirae Aqua Farm, which is currently building a land-based salmon farming facility in Pohang on Korea’s east coast, is probably the biggest of the three.
When it is completed the facility will have the capacity to produce 10,000 tons of salmon, said Suhyung Cho, CEO of Mirae Aqua Farm.
Cho said: “We have invested significant time in preparations and in finding competent suppliers and partners for our project, and we are excited to collaborate with Laksesystemer.”
Ole Gabriel Kverneland, CEO of Laksesystemer said: “We are experiencing strong international interest in our solutions from players investing in land-based fish farming. Our technology is developed with a focus on operational reliability, and we have systems that enable us to provide remote assistance to customers worldwide efficiently.
“This means our clients always have access to Norwegian expertise to help optimise their facilities and production.”
Laksesystemer AS is a company in the Fjøssystemer group. Fjøssystemer has over 40 years of experience in mechanization in land-based agriculture, and has an annual turnover of 1.4 billion kroner (just under £100m).
