New face at Scottish Sea Farms

Scottish Sea Farms has appointed a new freshwater production manager. Pal Tangvik, 51, joins the company from Leroy in Norway with 25 years of aquaculture experience.
His remit is to manage all the freshwater production for Scottish Sea Farms, including six sites and 45 members of staff. The company’s freshwater sites are located in the north of Scotland, Argyllshire and Dumfries.
Jim Gallagher, managing director of Scottish Sea Farms, said: ‘We are delighted to have secured Pal to lead our freshwater activities going forward.
‘He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help us make improvements and he will lead the future investment and production strategy in Scottish Sea Farms’ freshwater activities.’
Pal Tangvik, who will be based at South Shian, near Oban in Argyll, said: ‘I saw this role as an excellent opportunity to share my experience and to learn more about the aquaculture industry in Scotland.
‘I am also looking forward to improving my English and learning about Scotland’s culture.’
