Marine Harvest last quarter profits drop

MARINE Harvest’s operating profit for the final quarter of 2017 was €177 million, down from €259 million in the same period in 2016.
The company’s profits for the third quarter of 2017 were €194 million.
The Faroe Islands had the highest EBIT per kilo at €3 while Ireland recorded €2.75, harvesting respectively 4,000 tonnes and 2,500 tonnes.
Marine Harvest Scotland harvested 13,000 tonnes in the quarter with an EBIT of €1.20 per kg, while Norway’s EBIT per kg was €1.75 per kg, from 66,500 tonnes harvested.
The company’s Chilean and Canadian operations were the least profitable, with an EBIT of €1 per kg for harvests of 17,000 tonnes and 10,000 tonnes.
