Knox deal to deliver Lift Up systems

SCOTTISH net supplier W&J Knox and Norway’s Lift Up have entered into a partnership to secure an enhanced service to the industry in the UK and Ireland.
Lift Up has placed a stock of its popular mort extraction systems at Knox’s base in Ayrshire.
In addition to complete packages, Knox is also holding stock of all the major components, in order to further improve the service and supply of both systems and parts to existing and new customers.
Until now, Lift Up has shipped all its products direct from its factory in Norway to customers in Scotland and Ireland, with lead-time often being measured in weeks due to the logistics involved.
Under the agreement, Knox will be able to dispatch spare parts or full systems on a daily basis from its warehouse in Kilbirnie.
Customers have the option of contacting Lift Up in Norway for quotations or to place orders, or dealing directly with Knox
Lift Up, market leader in its field, has been at the forefront of innovation associated with air-lift mort removal systems.
The company has been contemplating a strategic partner in the UK for some time and Knox proved to fit the bill.
‘It was desirable for us to not only find a partner with adequate storage facilities and an established delivery network, but also a knowledgeable sales team who could complement the sale of our products,’ said Jørgin Gunnarsson of Lift Up.
‘W&J Knox has traded continuously from their site in Kilbirnie since 1778 and have an enviable reputation in the salmon farming industry.’
Dave Hutchens of Knox (pictured on the right with Gunnarsson) said: ‘We have a common interest with Lift Up in ensuring the safe removal of mortalities from our nets and have had many discussions over the years in an effort to achieve the desired level of compatibility.
‘We are looking forward to working with Lift Up and providing an added service to our existing and common customers.’
