Buckie firm’s pride in award shortlist

ASSOCIATED Seafoods Ltd has been shortlisted in the Export Business of the Year category at next week’s Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards 2016.
A steady growth in exports has resulted in the Buckie based company now supplying its premium ‘The Pride of Scotland’ smoked salmon to 28 countries in five different continents, including Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the US and Hong Kong.
According to Henry Angus, commercial director, Associated Seafoods is committed to further building upon this international success.
‘We are delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards, which recognises our efforts to build our export business,’ he said.
‘Much of this success can be attributed to the great care taken in producing our Scottish smoked salmon so as to ensure the best possible quality and taste.
‘We only ever use specially selected Scottish salmon which is then smoked in our modern processing facility in Buckie by using traditional time-honoured techniques.’
The Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards recognise those businesses and individuals in Scotland which are leading the way with innovation, enterprise and quality.
The awards ceremony and dinner will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on June 2, 2016.
