SVQ/Modern Apprenticeship – Assessor – Freight Logistics (for Aquaculture)

West Highland College UHI is looking to recruit a bank of casual assessors, for the SVQ/MA programme for Freight and Logistics within the aquaculture industry. Successful candidates will be able to work from home with travel to our centres in Lochaber, Skye, Wester Ross and the West Highlands as required, when safe to do so.

The post holders will be responsible for achieving the recruitment, retention and outcome targets of candidates on work-based SVQ/Modern Apprenticeship programmes, liaising with candidates, employers and various College staff/departments to ensure an excellent candidate experience and compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting programme evaluation, enhancement and continuing personal development.

The suitable candidates will hold a relevant qualification in the subject area (at minimum SVQ Level 4 SCQF Level 8) or have comparable knowledge and experience in the relevant industry, and will ideally hold a valid workplace assessing or verifying qualification, although training can be given.

Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role, as well as the ability to problem solve and relate to students of all ages. Candidates must also hold a current, valid driving license, and have access to a vehicle.

Salary: £24,304 per annum, pro-rataWorking Hours: Varied hours on a casual basis
