Supporting our Seaweed Nursery Commercial and Research Projects
Full Time, permanent position
Salary £28,331 – £31,866 per annum – starting salary will depend on experience.
The Ideal Candidate:
As a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication and organisational skills, you will enjoy the challenge of working at the interface of scientific research and industrial challenges. You will be technically competent, with management experience and a willingness to embrace team working. You will be flexible and motivated to deliver to customer requirements. You will have an eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
You will lead the operations of the SAMS Seaweed Nursery in support of both commercial and research projects. You will be a subject matter specialist in the seeded line production, experienced in working within tight protocols but with the knowledge and initiative to develop process improvements and enhanced efficiency. You will liaise with Enterprise colleagues, commercial clients and research partners in the cost-effective development of the facility and service enhancement.
You will provide input to business development activities, consultancy and scientific papers. You will be a skilled communicator with experience of stakeholder engagement.
This role sits within SAMS Enterprise, the commercial subsidiary of SAMS.
You will have support from the SAMS Enterprise and Science teams to assist your success in this role.
