To support this exciting growth phase, Kames Fish Farming Ltd is looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced people to join our core team.

As part of this recruitment programme, we are currently seeking a Husbandry Operator to assist with the operations at our Steelhead Smolt Freshwater Cage Facility at Glenkens Trout Farm, Dalry, Castle Douglas which will be an integral part of the supply to our sea-site production farms.

The ideal candidate will have experience in freshwater operations, and will be interested in career progression to site management. Full training and development will be provided to the right person.

The selected candidate will also have proven qualities in teamwork, be self-motivated, and have a high level of Health & Safety awareness. A full, clean driving license is essential.

Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with weekend duty rota. The ideal candidate may also be required to assist at the nearby Torhouse Steelhead Smolt site when needed.

In return, Kames offers a competitive package dependent on experience, including a starting salary in the range £21,840 – £29,120 (inclusive of rota duties) and a bonus scheme. A tied house near to the site is available with this position.
