The company is engaged in all stages of the value chain of farming Atlantic salmon and are a principal player in the Scottish aquaculture industry. Yardman (Ref: SRYMAN10)
The candidate will be enthusiastic; self-motivated and will be able to work under their own initiative as well as working within a small team. The candidate should have a flexible attitude to their role; main duties are to assist with the day-to-day operations of the servicing of the yard area but maybe required to work at other shore bases. The successful candidate will also be required to assist with the husbandry duties as and when necessary at marine sites within the South Region and will be required to participate in the existing weekend rota for these sea-sites.
It is essential that the candidate is an experienced telescopic handler forklift driver with relevant certificates and be able to undertake any required training.
Senior Marine Operative (Ref: QP/SMO(2)(Salary grading range depending on experience – £21,000 – £24,000)
The ideal candidate will already be experienced in fish husbandry and have the capability to lead a small team in the day-to-day operations at our marine site at Ardcastle in the Upper Loch Fyne area. This position would suit someone who is self-motivated, have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate prior experience in working within a small, focused team in a constantly changing and challenging environment. Where previous aquaculture and boat handling experience is a must for this post, the company can also offer further development opportunities.
Working hours are normally 40hrs per week Monday to Friday, with weekend working required on rota basis. Overtime is paid at an enhanced rate.

A full, clean driving licence is also essential for both positions.
