Marine Harvest (Scotland) is the largest Aquaculture Company operating in Scotland.  Our Marine and Freshwater farms are located throughout the West Coast and Outer Isles.

We are currently looking to identify a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to undertake the senior management role of Freshwater Lochs Area Manager, covering our farms and 3rd party suppliers. The role is to provide effective management and control for day to day production and support operations on farm sites within the specific management area.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Freshwater Manager and will be fully involved in the efficient operation and development of our freshwater farms. They will help drive and implement best practice and operational excellence throughout the business to satisfy the high quality product, welfare and environmental standards demanded by our customers.

Principle responsibilities will include the delivery of financial and performance objectives through effective financial planning and management; health, welfare & biosecurity management, feeding, growth & stock quality management; stock movement planning; asset management; people resource & performance management and HSEQ management.

Applicants, who must be strong team players, will have a proven track record in developing and achieving commercial success in farming operations. Strong interpersonal, communication, organisation and planning skills as well as the ability to problem solve and motivate and achieve results through the success of others are some of the key attributes required for this post. In addition applicants require a full driving licence and should be prepared to undertake significant travel.
