We are pleased to announce that Alistair Brown has joined PHARMAQ.
He will have focus on PHARMAQ’s activities in the Asia Pacific region. With his long and varied international career in aquaculture, Alistair will add strength to our business initiatives in this important region. PHARMAQ has a successful establishment in Vietnam with approval of the first fish vaccine for pangasius that will provide an excellent growth platform”, says Morten Nordstad, CEO at PHARMAQ.For the last 3 years Alistair has worked as an independent aquatic animal health consultant. He started first in aquaculture working for Unilever Research at Lochailort, Scotland assisting with the setting up of the first Marine Harvest, he also managed a commercial smolt farm before moving to Norway in 1978 to manage the Institute of Marine Research’s farming operations in Matre for ten years. He later built and managed a land based salmon farm in Portugal before joining Intervet Norbio in Norway as Sales and Marketing Manger. Alistair later became Managing Director of Intervet Norbio and then moved to the Netherlands as Director for Intervet’s (now Merck / MSD) global aquatic animal health activities. A position he held for seven years before moving to S.E. Asia to work as a consultant.
