Salary – £26,000 – £30,000 all inclusive
Marine Harvest (Scotland) is the largest Aquaculture Company operating in Scotland. Our Marine and Freshwater farms are located throughout the West Coast and Outer Isles.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Trainer/Health & Safety Assistant. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager the primary focus of the role will be to deliver training to Marine Harvest employees in the following areas: Health & Safety Awareness, Manual Handling, Chemical Handling and Confined Space entry. In addition the successful candidate will be required to assist the Health & Safety Manager with site audits, assist in developing, implementing and maintaining Health & Safety policies/procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
Applicants will preferably have a minimum of 1 years experience in a Training/Health & Safety role and ideally possess a Train the Trainer qualification and NEBOSH General Certificate, or other industry recognised qualification. In addition applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills, a good knowledge of computer packages and industry related Health and Safety legislation and regulations. The post is based in Fort William with regular travel to the companys sites throughout the West Coast and Outer Isles.
