The “Month of Frozen Food 2005” promotes frozen foods across Spain Published:  15 February, 2005

A NATION-WIDE promotion of frozen foods is set to kick off in Spain on the 1st of March and is backed by some of Europe’s largest frozen seafood producers, including Findus, Pescanova, Nestlé and Unilever. The month-long promotion aims to educate consumers about the benefits of frozen foods. This year’s promotion will include two travelling buses that will serve as “classroom on wheels” travelling around the country distributing information and leaflets about frozen food products. The promotion campaign will also be located in supermarkets and in 5,000 other points of sale where 650,000 pamphlets touting the quality, taste and safety of frozen food will be distributed. This year’s campaign will also see a competition aimed at the distributors which will reward the company judged to be running the best promotion during this month.

The promotion “Frozen Food Month” is a project that was set up in 2003 and involves the 15 main producers of Spanish frozen foods: Angulas Aguinaga, Bonduelle, Confremar, Delfín, Elmar, Fandicosta, Findus, Fripozo, Krustagroup, La Cocinera, Maheso, McCain, Nestlé, Pescanova y Unilever. is published by Special Publications.
