IT was a moment of anticipation followed by exhilaration as Lossie Seafoods beat off stiff competition to be crowned ‘Food Exporter of the Year’ at the prestigious Food from Britain Food and Drink Export Awards 2007.

The company, which specialises in producing quality Scottish smoked salmon, concentrates almost 100 per cent of its business on exporting and enjoyed a 33 per cent increase in sales this year alone. By sourcing small, family-owned distributors and forging links with a variety of established and more unique export countries, the company has created a successful global export business.
