REPORTS of great white sightings in Cornwall have inspired party-goers to go shark crazy.
Fancy dress suppliers, Angels of London are struggling to keep up with demand, selling 300 shark outfits in less than a week, reports The Sun.
The country, according to Ananova, has been gripped by shark fever ever since what looked like a Great White was filmed off the coast of St Ives.
Director Emma Angel said: “We are not complaining, but ever since that Great White story surfaced from the gloomy depths, our shark-themed costumes have been selling like crazy.
“The fear of being eaten by a shark has had the knock-on effect of encouraging the British tradition of laughing in the face of adversity.”
Coastguards, however, earlier dismissed claims that a great white shark was spotted off the Cornish coast as “scaremongering”.
