The boat was found to be overdue at Stonehaven Harbour
A SEARCH has resumed for a fisherman whose boat was found broken up on rocks on the Aberdeenshire coast.
The overturned wreckage of the Nadine II was spotted at Craigmaroinn in Portlethen Bay yesterday evening.
Grampian Police confirmed that a local lobster fisherman failed to return after setting off from Portlethen in the morning, BBC News reported.
The search resumed this morning with coastguards, lifeboats, and specialist search and rescue dogs.
Lifeboat crews, coastguard teams and a RAF helicopter were involved in last night’s search.
The wreckage of the creel boat was spotted from the shore at about 5.10pm.
It was also found to be overdue at Stonehaven Harbour.
