Seafood Heist In California Published: 09 June, 2011
Preferred Freezer Services has offered a U.S. $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in response to stolen seafood products that originated from its Vernon, California, USA, facility on May 31.
A tractor trailer carrying 1,550 cases weighing 31,000 pounds of 31/40 Victory Seafood brand easy-peel shrimp left PFS on May 31 and was to be delivered on June 7 to a cold storage facility in Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania. Network Commodities notified Preferred Freezer Services that the truck carrying the load went missing and notified California police. Each 20-pound case of farm-raised shrimp from Thailand contains 10, 2-pound bags inside the master box. The Preferred lot numbers that were issued to this product are 75192F and 72734F. The lot number is stamped on each case for traceability. Preferred Freezer Services is offering the reward to assist its customer in finding leads to the missing product. Any information regarding the specific load can be e-mailed to Julius Heil at email@example.com or call +1-973-820-4040. All information will be held strictly confidential.
