RICHARD Lochhead MSP, Scotlands newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment, met with Youngs executives at Macrae Seafoods in Fraserburgh on Wednesday.
The meeting was hosted by Youngs deputy CEO, Mike Parker, together with John Whalen, MD of Macrae in Fraserburgh.
Mike Parker said: We had an enjoyable and productive meeting with Mr Lochhead. As well as briefing him on our operations in Scotland, we had a useful discussion about some key industry issues. It is clear that seafood processing will be high on his agenda going forward and we welcome that fact.
Macrae Fraserburgh is part of the Youngs Seafood group in Scotland, which is comprised of six locations employing around 1600 people with a combined turnover of £157M.
