Russians get a taste of Sterling white halibut Published: 14 July, 2005
STERLING white halibut from Marine Harvest is featuring at a unique tasting opportunity at the Norwegian embassy in Moscow today. It will be arriving fresh from the Marine Harvest processing facilities in Norway for the special event.
Invited guests include restaurateurs and chefs from the Moscow region together with leading retailers and catering specialists. The occasion is being hosted by the Norwegian Ambassador, Mr Øyvind Nordsletten, together with the Norwegian Minister for Fisheries, Svein Ludvigsen.
The private tasting has been arranged by Marine Harvest, the world’s leading aquaculture company, together with Severnaya, a specialist importer of high quality fish into Russia. White halibut is a new product and new flavour for the Russian market, which is a significant and growing consumer of farmed Atlantic salmon. Sterling white halibut will soon be imported into Russia, fresh from the Marine Harvest farms in Norway. Marine Harvest is the exclusive producer of Sterling white halibut.
