Proposals to change Norwegian ownership rules welcomed by Marine Harvest Published:  12 December, 2012

Marine Harvest has welcomed proposals by the Norwegian Ministries of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs to the Norwegian Parliament to change the rules relating to ownership limitation.

These would allow companies to own more than 25 per cent of the salmon farming sector’s total standing biomass.

Marine Harvest believes the changes will strengthen local communities and scientific research and create value both for the companies and Norway as a fish farming nation.
