A TOTAL of 70 free PFD jackets for 32 boats were handed over at the Skipper Expo Int Aberdeen, making the event a huge success in promoting this SFF led safety initiative.
Scottish Fishermens Federation Safety Officer, Derek Cardno, said: It was a fantastic show for us and we were delighted at the huge amount of interest from fishermen in our free PFD scheme.
Special thanks to Seafish for checking fishermen’s certificates at the show and the RNLI fishing safety team for doing the instruction sessions.
Skippers who still havent applied can do so by following the links on the SFF website, or they can phone the SFF office for more information. www.sff.co.uk
