Norwegian King To Open Aqua Nor Fish Farming Today Published: 22 May, 2003
KING Harald of Norway will visit Trondheim to carry out the official opening of the aquaculture exhibition Aqua Nor 2003 on Tuesday
This will be the first time the Norwegian King has taken part in the opening of the event, the world’s largest and some claim, the most important exhibition for the aquaculture industry.
The organiser of Aqua Nor; Nor-Fishing, says the royal visit is an inspiration and encouragement both for the industry and organisers.
Crown prince Haakon took part in the opening of the official opening of Aqua Nor in 1999 and in 2001 in a young and enthusiastic way. But in 2003 it will be H.M the King who will come. Its especially nice for us as this year’s exhibition is taking place at a time where the aquaculture industry has been affected by economic as well as market problems, said director Odd Berg, who added that Aqua Nor 2003, despite the problems facing the industry, will be a large event with broad international participation.
