THE Norwegian exports of herring in November reached 504 NOK, 93 million NOK more than in November last year, according to the Norwegian Seafood Export Council. So far this year the exports of herring products have been for a value of 3 billion NOK, 23 percent higher than last year.
The exports of frozen whole herring in November was 58 thousand tonnesm an increase of 13 thousand tonnes from the previous year. 36 thousand tonnes was exported to the main market Russia, while 14 thousand tonnes went to the Ukraine.
So far this year, Norway has exported 299 thousand tonnes frozen whole herring, 11 thousand tonnes less than last year.
