M&S withdraws Cook! Haddock & Hake Fish Cakes Published:  25 June, 2008

UK multiple Marks & Spencer has withdrawn some packs of its Cook! Haddock & Hake Fish Cakes because sachets of soya sauce were added to a small number of packs instead of the tomato sauce listed on the label.

As the soya ingredient is not declared in allergen information, there is a potential health risk for people who have a soya allergy. The Food Standards Agency has issued an allergy alert.

Marks & Spencer has withdrawn all the affected stock from sale. Anyone who has bought this product and wishes to exchange it can get a full refund at their local store.

The product being withdrawn is:

* M&S Cook! Haddock & Hake Fish Cakes

* Use by dates: 27, 28, 29 June 2008

* Unique product code: 0602273

No other Marks & Spencer products are known to be affected.
