Loch Duart Ltd takes a sustainable and environmentally responsible approach to its fish farming activities which defines a long term role for aquaculture as an essential and viable part of the food supply chain for the future. We operate unique rearing and fallowing systems that produce fish of an exceptional quality and taste.

We are about to commission a new 25m freight/workboat for our fish farming operations in the Uists. This state of the art vessel will transport harvested fish, from our sea-sites in the Uists to the Isle of Skye. It will also transport other related freight and carry out support duties, such as towing of fish farm equipment and the installation and removal of moorings.

We now require the following personnel for the vessel;

Skipper The successful candidate must • have a valid Coastal Skipper’s ticket, or an equivalent qualification• demonstrate sufficient and relevant career history in operating such a vessel and managing its crew and operations• be able to maintain and operate the vessel to a very high standard• be able to work in a very demanding environment  • be able to work to a high standard , both, as  part of a team and using own initiative

Engineer/DeckhandThe successful candidate must • demonstrate sufficient and relative qualifications and career history in maintaining and operating ships engines and equipment• be able to maintain and operate the vessel to a very high standard• be able to work in a very demanding environment  • be able to work to a high standard , both, as  part of a team and using own initiative

DeckhandThe successful candidate must • demonstrate sufficient and relative experience in crewing such a vessel• be able to work to a high standard , both, as  part of a team and using own initiative• be able to work in a very demanding environment

Salaries for the above positions will be attractive and negotiable, relative to experience and qualifications.
