LITHUANIA has imposed a temporary ban on imports of fish feed from Belgium, Holland and Germany.

The State Food and Veterinary Service received a statement from the European Union (EU), saying that cases of feed contaminated with the MPA hormone had been found in these countries.

Feed imports from other countries are allowed only if they are accompanied by test results from accredited laboratories certifying that feed is not contaminated with the MPA hormone.
