Our Client is a major seafood producer with both farming and added value operations across the West Coast of Scotland. They sell their products across the globe, and have a superb reputation for exceptional customer service. As a result of an exciting period of change, they are currently seeking to increase their sales team.

Due to continued growth, they are actively seeking a Key Account Manager for UK & Europe for their added value seafood operations. This is a full cycle sales role, with complete autonomy and accountability for the entire sales process. The successful applicant will be expected to be the specialist within this smoked produce sales team, generating a business plan based on their current contacts, and executing a successful sales strategy.

Based predominantly from the office but with travel as and when required, the successful applicant will report into the Sales Director and will be responsible for the following:

• Contract negotiation• Operational weekly / daily selling• Customer service management• Airfreight arrangements and rate negotiation• Visits – inwards/outwards• Reports write up and generation• Close liaison with Sales team, Technical, Planning and other PF functions• Assist with customer payments, invoicing• Complaints handling / processing• Support to credit control function• Liaison with UK logistics partner• Prospecting• Liaison, planning, organising with critical external suppliers

Who we are looking for:• Applicants must have previous Key Account Management experience in the smoked seafood industry• Specialist knowledge of smoked produce business, with experience with retailers, major UK food services, and industrial customers• Contacts within the UK essential• Experience supplying leading European retailers desired.• Resourceful, Solutions orientated; practical problem solver• Enthusiasm for and thorough understanding of the industry• Decision making confidence• Ability to stand on own two feet• Team player who is able to use own initiative• Ability to operate in a highly dynamic, unpredictable and often challenging environment• Willingness to work outside personal comfort zone• Very quick learner

Package:£33,000 – £43,000 depending on previous experienceComprehensive benefits package included
