Scottish Sea Farms is the UKs leading producer of premium quality Scottish salmon. We are trusted to supply Britains most demanding retailers and need an exceptional IT professional to join our IT Team in Argyll. Our IT infrastructure is critical to the on-going success of our business and as a result we now need to strengthen our IT team. You will be part of a team delivering support on core systems including industry specific applications along with more common commercial systems. These are exciting times within the IT function as we invest in new technology.
It is essential that you have a good all-round knowledge of PCs and their operating systems, Windows XP and Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Office 2007, along with good solid experience of LAN topologies and protocols. It would be advantageous to have experience in Lotus Notes, SQL Server, Blackberry, Virtualisation (VMware or Xen server), Backup Exec, and any exposure to ERP systems such Dynamics AX.
To succeed in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate excellence in delivering customer service to internal business users and can operate within defined processes and procedures. As a result any exposure to the ITIL framework is advantageous. Further to this a flexible approach to working and the ability to manage your own workload is essential as is the ability to work within project teams and on your own.
The role will involve travel to other sites including Orkney and Shetland therefore all applicants are required to have a full, clean drivers licence.
