DURING the official state visit of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) will introduce Norwegian Salmon to the Indian market.

At the Norwegian Salmon Academy in New Delhi, Crown Prince Haakon will mark the official opening of the market by presenting a Norwegian Salmon to chef Hemant Oberoi, one of the leading chefs in India.

Mr Oberoi will prepare “the first Norwegian Salmon” to the Crown Prince with inspiration from traditional Indian cuisine.

The Norwegian Salmon Academy is a seminar for chefs, food professionals and other key decision makers within the Indian foodservice industry. One of the premier chefs of Norway, Mr. Harald Osa, will present Norwegian Salmon as a versatile raw material suitable for cuisines all around the world. He will focus on the benefits of fresh Norwegian Salmon, talk about the quality of the product and demonstrate how it can be utilised in different dishes and prepared by using a number of cooking techniques.
