French Trawlerman Dies European Fish Trader Published:  12 September, 2002

A 52-year old French fisherman has died on board the French trawler Cap Nord while the vessel was at sea.

The Cap Nord came into Lerwick harbour just before midnight on Wednesday night to inform the authorities and to arrange for the transfer of the deceased to his native country.

Police said the name of the fisherman has not been released. There were no suspicious circumstances, a spokesperson for the police in Lerwick said.

A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
