Fraserburgh prawn auction prices fall Published:  06 December, 2007

PRAWN auction prices at Fraserburgh today fell back following yesterday’s encouraging start to the new selling system.

Large prawns sold from £130-£90, per box with medium at £80-£71 and small £53-£38. Tails were £122-£100.

Lower prices were being attributed to a heavier landing, plus the fact that there have been strong prawn landings over the last couple of days. There were 125 boxes on offer today.
