Experience Marel on Seafood Processing Europe 2012 Published:  12 March, 2012

Marel is welcoming visitors to this year‘s Seafood Processing Europe, April 24-26 2012 in Brussels, for an all-round experience of

innovation at Stand #6227, Hall 4.

Visitors will experience:

• on-stand demonstrations of the company‘s latest innovations in processing technology for salmon, whitefish and farmed whitefish species

• ongoing live sessions presented by our fish industry experts

• culinary innovations at the stand‘s 2nd floor lounge, prepared by the Star Chef of the Icelandic Culinary Team

Spanning the complete on-board and on-land processing spectrum, Marel says it will showcase a wide range of standalone equipment and fully integrated systems designed for use in processing salmon, whitefish, as well as high-intensity farmed fish such as tilapia, pangasius and seabass.

Ranging from basic manual systems to the most advanced fully automatic solutions available on the market today, the equipment featured handles everything from receiving, filleting, portioning and packing to end-of-line operations and dispatch, all aimed at helping processors maximise yields, throughput and quality, while reducing processing times and labour costs.

One of the main attractions at the stand will be demonstration of the latest Marel salmon filleting machine, the MS 2730 in-line with a brand-new version of Marel‘s ITM for automatic salmon trimming. With the filleting and trimming integrated in-line, processors are offered a new dimension of managing yields and production value. By carefully monitoring the raw material utilization in each processing step, the processor is able to optimise yields, taking both utilisation and quality into account. Moreover, this integrated system provides real-time overviews of productivity and “uptime” of the system.
