Scottish Sea Farms is the UK’s leading producer of farmed Atlantic Salmon from its marine and freshwater sites throughout the West Coast and Northern Isles of Scotland. We wish to recruit a skilled and adaptable person to join our environment team.

Educated to degree level in a scientific or environmental discipline, candidates are expected to have experience in at least some aspects of marine Environmental Impact Assessment, and the preparation of Environmental Statements. The candidate will be responsible for the organisation and execution of marine survey work to meet the requirements of our various regulators. Familiarity with the regulatory regimes affecting aquaculture is therefore essential.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, but must also be capable of working without supervision and manage their own workload effectively. They also will be practical, spatially aware and computer literate with excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate will be expected to liaise effectively with a wide range of people, including company staff, external stakeholders and industry regulatory bodies.

The post is likely to be based in South Shian, by Oban but will require short periods working at other company sites; a full clean driving licence is therefore essential. A competitive salary with extensive benefits is offered and relocation assistance may be considered.
